It does not make sense to be bored in one place and then regret to not have enough time in the next one. St. Moritz is not that you just see the village (except you want to visit the pedestrian zone with the designer and jeweller shops), but the area, so you could at least have a stroll along the lake.
We took the train from St. Moritz to its terminal stop in Tirano, Italy, which took about 2.5 hours including the stops along the way.
